CS Fred Matiang’i’s rise in the public sector started in 2013 when President Uhuru Kenyatta, keen on accelerating the digital transformation kick-started by former President Kibaki, tapped him from academia to head the ICT ministry.
By increasing the participation of women in industry we, directly and indirectly, seek to achieve our overall economic goals in terms of increasing employment opportunities, advancing skills and innovation and providing them with financial security for themselves and their families, which results in better living conditions for the entire community.
To make matters worse, most of the vehicles in Kampala are pre-owned and, until 2018, the average fleet age was more than 15 years. These vehicles have a faster rate of wear and tear leading to a higher environmental footprint.
