The fintech service targets Africa’s diaspora community with a bold mission to revolutionise the international money transfer market through innovative solutions, all at zero fees.
As Kenyan Marketing Manager in the UK, Mukami plays a pivotal role in the company’s expansion and success in the region. Her responsibilities encompass driving brand activations, crafting comprehensive reports, and securing strategic partnerships that bolster LemFi’s market presence abroad. Mukami’s firstclass representation of the company at various community events have been instrumental in forging valuable connections and driving growth. Prior to joining LemFi, Mukami held the role of Digital Manager at Hustle Sasa – an innovative platform dedicated to empowering creatives and entrepreneurs by providing them with the tools and resources needed to grow their businesses. In her capacity, she played a crucial role in enhancing the company’s digital presence and engagement. Mukami expertly managed social media marketing campaigns, orchestrated impactful events, and secured valuable partnerships that elevated the brand’s visibility. Mukami holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Northampton in the UK. She also earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biotechnology from Kenyatta University (KU), a proof of her agility, and actually a plus in the corporate communications world.
A passionate communicator, Mukami’s journey into the world of media and marketing began during her campus days at KU, where she launched a Fashion, Lifestyle, and Travel blog. Her blog catered to the everyday woman interested in fashion and lifestyle, skilfully blending high-end garments with thrifted pieces to create stylish, affordable looks. Additionally, she offered valuable budget travel tips for young adventurers. Remarkably, within its first year, Mukami’s blog was nominated for Best New Blog by the Bloggers Association of Kenya (BAKE) Awards, highlighting her talent and influence in the digital space.
It is worth noting that in addition to her corporate achievements, Mukami is also a recognised recording artist, songwriter and singer. Her musical journey began in lower primary school, when her father bought her a piano, nurturing a dream she had harboured from a young age. Throughout high school, she formed rock bands and meticulously developed her singing persona, ‘Kash Kaaria’. Mukami’s dedication to elevating Kenya’s music industry led her to found Black Icon Entertainment, a music label committed to the belief that every musician has a unique story deserving to be heard.

Mukami herself has released several songs as ‘Kash’, demonstrating her belief that one can be both multitalented and multifaceted while still making a significant impact.
A lover of exploration, Mukami delights in travelling to different cities, immersing herself in diverse cultures, and sampling various cuisines. “Italian cuisine is one of my favourites… thus far,” she cheekily admits. Her adventurous spirit and open-minded approach to new experiences reflect her dynamic personality and relentless curiosity.
When asked about her greatest inspiration, Mukami speaks fondly of her mother, who has instilled in her enduring values that guide her through moments of doubt.
A powerful woman of faith, Mukami underscores the importance of prayer in achieving one’s goals. “Asking is not enough; we must always find time to thank God when we find ourselves living in one of our answered prayers,” she asserts, reflecting the lessons learned from her mother.
