HARPRIEETH KAUR CHAGGAR
GENERAL MANAGER – ADSITE
I am Harprieeth Kaur Chaggar, the General Manager of Adsite Limited, one of Kenya’s longest-standing outdoor advertising and steel construction companies. My journey has been anything but linear. The journey has been deeply fulfilling, shaped by grit, purpose, and a commitment to impact.
I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with IT major, from Maseno University, and certifications in Media Investment Management as well as in FinTech from Harvard Online. Education opened doors for me, but values shaped everything that followed. I live by three principles: hard work, honesty, and integrity. These values guide how I lead teams, build relationships, make decisions, and pursue excellence, even when the path isn’t easy.
I started my professional career at WPP Scangroup, then the leading media advertising, public relations and media buying firm in East Africa. My nine-year tour of duty included managing regional portfolios for some of the world’s largest brands, including The Coca-Cola Company, Jumia, HMD, Isuzu, Zuku, among others and across multiple and very challenging East African markets. It was during those years that I understood the power of storytelling as a strategy of building brands, the discipline of execution, and the responsibility of stewarding brands that touch and influence millions of lives. Media Agency life sharpened my strategic mind, toughened my resilience, and taught me what world-class work really means.

Transitioning from agency Media Manager to General Manager at Adsite was one of the boldest steps and career jumps in my career. It has allowed me to pursue my passion for outdoor advertising in its purest form; bringing brands to life through visibility that moves people, influences decisions, and shapes culture. Leading an organisation that has been part of Kenya’s advertising fabric for 50 years in itself is both an honour and a privilege. My focus has been to modernize and, in some cases, re-booting the processes, elevate standards and practices, drive digital adoption, and strengthen the integrity of the entire outdoor ecosystem.
In all these, the journey hasn’t been without personal battles. My biggest challenge remains navigating mum guilt; that constant tug between nurturing my family and delivering at the highest level professionally, balancing work and family life. Over time, I’ve learned that motherhood doesn’t limit ambition; it amplifies it. It gives purpose to the grind and actually adds depth through lived experience to empathetic leadership. I carry this empathy forward in my work, advocating for environments where women can lead boldly without being punished for choosing family too.
I am deeply passionate about inclusivity, especially the women agenda; ensuring women occupy decision-making spaces, feel supported in leadership, and are not reduced to outdated expectations of balancing work and home expectations. Equally, I believe in intentionally raising boys who respect women, understand equity, and grow into responsible men. I dedicate time to mentoring both young women and young men because the future requires leaders who are emotionally intelligent, self-aware, and values-driven.

My contribution to the advertising industry is anchored on excellence, innovation, and integrity. At Adsite, I have been intentional about elevating quality, improving safety standards, nurturing strong client relationships, and ensuring we remain a trusted industry partner. I am committed to strengthening the credibility of outdoor advertising in Kenya; ensuring that as the industry evolves, it does so with accountability, creativity, and heart.
I also invest heavily in people development. I mentor young professionals entering the media and marketing space, helping them find direction, confidence, and purpose. To me, leadership is not just about results; it’s about leaving people better than you found them.
Beyond the boardroom, community impact grounds me. I champion initiatives focused on helping girls in underserved communities stay in school by providing hygiene kits and essential educational supplies. Too many girls miss out on education simply because of lack of basic necessities, and if I can change that reality for even a few, then my work carries a deeper purpose. Empowering a girl is empowering a family, a community, and ultimately, a nation.
Ultimately, my story is one of purpose meeting passion. I am proud of the work I have done, but even more excited for the work ahead. My hope is that my journey inspires women, mothers, and young professionals to take up space, dare boldly, and trust that their unique path has value. And if my life’s work accomplishes one thing, let it be this, that I helped create opportunities, opened doors, and built spaces where others could rise.
